MFA Fashion Photography

I attended an artist demonstration with Boston's famous fashion photographer Tracy Aiguier at the Museum of Fine Arts Boston back in November 2012. It was a great opportunity to experience the world of fashion photography, something I had wanted to do for a while. The outfits were designed by the students of the School of Fashion Design in Boston, and some students modeled their own designs.

Tracy made the entire demo very interactive, and also invited volunteers from the audience to shoot. She kindly offered her camera but I was lucky to have mine so I could try my hand at fashion photography for the first time. How exciting!

I ended this awesome evening by visiting the Mario Testino exhibit "In Your Face," and enjoyed his compelling images. By the way people, you must watch the exhibit if you haven't already. It ends on February 3.

Thanks, again, Tracy and the lovely models for giving me an opportunity to shoot!

Pointedly Stylish

It's 16°F in Boston right now, and all I am trying to do is think of spring to keep those winter blues away. I am thinking spring coats, and shoes, and to be more specific pointy 'gwen' flats by kate spade.

I have been eyeing these for a while now. It's so hard to pick a color. I would like these in both colors. Gold and silver accessories are my go-to pieces (unlike most people) for those five-minute dressing days when I only have time to put on my clothes and shoes, and to pick up my bag and storm out of the house. They have the power of making the simplest outfit look stylish in an instant! Being a versatile piece, this can be worn with most outfits and can be enjoyed in morning, noon, and night! I just know one thing, once I own these, I will use them a LOT!

Which color would you buy?
