Cozy Knits

It's the season for cozy knits and cuddly sweaters. I found these great finds at Zara Kids a little while ago and my girls absolutely love them! They are not only beautifully designed but they are also practical for these chillier days.

One of my favorites to play with is a classic stripe print with a bold floral.  Floral pants are a perfect way to add a spring feel to a dreary day. One can never go wrong with this outfit choice!

I get a kick out of you!

Let's take a minute to appreciate these shoes.  After visiting them week after week at H&M (Trend), I was finally able to find them on sale and got a deal of a lifetime! I love how hip and fun they are for the kids.  The neutral colors really make them versatile so they can fit seamlessly in their wardrobe, and there are so many ways I can think of pairing them already!  I'm looking forward to showing them off with some tights soon, but there's no doubt these can carry through to early spring with a skirt option! I really want these in my size!

What are you getting a kick out of this week?

Playtime New York: The best american and international children's brands

Another season and another great show here in New York at the Metropolitan Pavilion from February 14-16. Some of the best American and international brands are showcasing their AW16 collections.

This year's show is just spectacular, and I am so excited about showcasing the best styles, designs and prints on the blog in the coming months. It was great catching up with designers I met at the August Playtime, and all the new friends I made this year.

Today is going to be yet another action-packed day! Before heading out, I quickly wanted to share some pictures from yesterday. Featuring only a few of the many amazing booths I visited. For more pictures and updates from today's show, be sure to follow thirdeyechic on Instagram.

Paired this long ladylike skirt with this cute girly graphic tee. Loving this combination! We don't often come across long skirts for little girls that's why this beautiful skirt stands out and is such a pleasant change from short skirts and tutus.

Kids Fashion Blog: 'Pretty Cool'

Recently our mornings have been full of disagreements over clashing styles.  The girls have been loving skirts and frills lately, while I like to stick to a simpler, more comfortable style, especially for outfits they wear to school all day and nap in.  So we settled on a win-win with this outfit, incorporating the girly tulle in this skirt and my favorite breton tee. Here's how:

Me: "Neve, these pants look so cool"
Neve: "But mommeeeee, I like pretty, not cool" (wanting obvs to wear a skirt)
Me: "OK Neve, let's settle on 'pretty cool'"

This cute necklace was the outcome of a little DIY project Neve and I undertook a few months ago!

There is still time to get your favorite little valentine something special! Here's more adorable Valentine's Day gift inspiration!

1. Blue Whale Puzzle & Decor. This handmade wooden puzzle is perfect to entertain your children while spicing up their room decor.

2. My Calendar. Great for classrooms or playrooms. This hand-stitched calendar, by refugee and low-income women in the West Bank, allows kids to actively learn about dates, weather, and the seasons. It comes in a variety of colors to match your style. We have this calendar and we love it! It's the girls' favorite morning activity!

3. Pom Pom Pint. These eye-catcing pints are great for storing tiny odds and ends, and can instantly spruce up any playroom or nursery. Each pom pom is individually stitched onto the heavy weight cotton canvas pint, giving it a fun and colorful feel.

4. Giraffe Push Toy. This adorable tiny giraffe is perfect for your little ones. It is entirely eco-friendly and comes in our favorite mustard color.

5. Lovelane Unicorn Cape. An easy accessory, 100% handmade, and a fun way to spice up your child's wardrobe (and imagination). Neve is going to be over the moon if she gets this as a gift!

Love how this artisan-made vest is adding such a sophisticated look to an otherwise simple outfit. When you have such a gorgeous and intricate clothing item, the entire outfit revolves around it, and you really don't need to put too much effort into the outfit. I paired it with dark printed bottoms to add contrast so the vest stands out more. The prints and textures are so different, yet this outfit looks very exclusive and put together.

When dressing for 60+ degree days like today, adding a pair of neutral tights and boots would be perfect!
